View from my balcony

Today I am housebound. Not only am I officially crippled with leg and pain (old injury) but I have clients waiting for their sites. Bit of a shame really because I have zero motivation owing to extreme heat exhaustion.

So, here are views from my balcony here in Torrevieja. The first two images are to the right (in the direction of La Mata) and the third image is to the left (in the direction of the Salt Lakes).

Graffiti Art in Torrevieja

Last Saturday I posted some local graffiti art. Here is another one which, sadly, is a little worse for wear. Not as good as the former and you could say it is a little on the creepy side but it has a certain quality.

Torrevieja by Night

I suck at night photography. My camera sucks at night photography. So you´ll have to forgive me for the poor quality. Well, you dont have to, but I ask you do.

This is the view from my balcony. By day its not all that great. By night its blemishes almost disapear into fields of fairy lights as far as the eye can see.

Dusk over Torrevieja

During the day the view from my apartment is, well, not great. Its a concrete jungle of mismatched half finished buildings.

By dusk, as we look towards the nearby Salt Lakes and distant mountains, it becomes a colour sensation.

Satscenes : My First Ever

Its a little late but, as I am told often, these things are better late than never. It seems to be my life philosophy. Today was all about art appreciation. Not the kind you find in a stuffy Gallery, where self proclaimed critics attempt to persuade the tasteless masses that the blob of paint is actually a piece worth millions. No, I am speaking of art you will find anywhere – if only you take the time to open your eyes and really look.

There is a Graffiti artist who tours Torrevieja. You will find his works everywhere. I have never seen him and everyone I have spoken to has absolutely no idea who he is. But, on schedule, a piece of his work will suddenly appear. This particular piece is on the main street opposite Iceland. The photograph does not really do it justice – they are, well, beatiful. The detail is astonishing.
