Apologies for the lack of updates of late – my schedule is hectic. Not only do I currently have quite a few jobs on at present but my exercise regime is really busy too. In between walking, interval training and swimming all I seem to do is work! But I am hoping for a payoff come August when I intend to take the month off to celebrate my (hopefully) greatly reduced moi

SatScenes: Christmas Decorations of Nerja
The christmas decorations have been cut back this year owing to the present financial climate. There are fewer than previous years and, apparently, the ayuntamiento are hoping that individual store holders pull their fingers out to make their own stores look extra special this year to make up for the reduced street decorations. The roundabouts have had a makeover this last day though – a lovely snowman decorates a large roundabout coming into Nerja!

SatScenes: Storm Damage Playa Torrecilla
October brought the first of winter rough seas and the damage to Playa Torrecilla was fairly bad. Much of the sand near Restaurante Playa Torrecilla has been swept away by the waves revealing the rocks beneath – and taking part of a road and the path with it. Not only various beach umbrellas were dislodged but also the shower area and a palm tree…
If this is the damage from the first of the winter storms one has to wonder the state of the beach by the beginning of next holiday season…
