SatScenes: Iglesia del Salvador, Nerja

One of my favourite places to hang out in Nerja and enjoy a light breakfast is the Balcon de Europa. Although not religious one of the focal points for me, other than the balcon itself of course, is the beautiful Iglesia del Salvador.

This is where I spent my morning – sat in a small cafe overlooking the Balcon de Europa and the Iglesia del Salvador

Nerja Donkey Sanctuary

Here are a few of the residents of the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary, a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, caring for and protecting donkeys, mules and horses near where I live. I pass them frequently on my daily walks and have been intending to take a picture or two for my collection for a while now… They were going to be my SatScene for today but instead I opted for the sunrise…

SatScenes: Another sunrise…

I realise so many of my satscenes lately have been either the sun rising or setting but, honestly, who can blame me? I had intended to utilise some photos of the residents of the Nerja Donkey Sanctuary today (photos coming up) but when I saw this quick snap I took at 7.30am I just couldnt resist…

Goodbye Giant cactii

Anyone familiar with Nerja and, in particular, the Hotel Rui Monica will recall the three giant cactii which decorated its entrance. Sadly, owing to one falling on a passing pedestrian, they have now been removed.

A sad day!

SatScenes: Another day…

Taken as yesterday drew to a close…I enjoy my evening walks along Playa Playazo as the sun sets. Its a very romantic setting.

Most weeks I take a photograph which represents my Saturday. If you enjoy photography then consider taking part! Join us! 1) Take a photograph on a Saturday 2) Upload the photograph 3) Send a tweet to @SatScenes with the url. To check out the contributions of others go to SatScenes

Dawn from the Balcon de Europa

Another early morning start because I was unable to sleep beyond 6am. I decided to take the sprussel brat for a walk to the Balcon de Europa and watch the sun come up. It was beautiful. There were maybe a handful of people there at the same and it was so peaceful despite the fact a clear up operation was underway from last nights festivities!

Satscenes: Mist bathing?

Never ceases to amuse me how the mists suddenly descend here, seemingly with little warning, and disapear almost as quickly.
