We´re moving. Maybe. Awaiting the confirmation from the landlord now. A small town house in a village which, I suppose, makes it a village house :p
3 bedrooms, off the main square and directly facing a traditional spanish tapas bar (the diet will be ruined!).
It was a difficult decision spurred on by the discovery we are living in “prostitution alley” (as named by the locals here). Its notorious apparently – which probably accounts for the curb crawlers and propositions I have been subjected to this last few months.
Joking aside it is awful. I mean, really. I do not venture out after dark unless I absolutely have to (yes, the late night chocolate craving has had to be curbed on many occasion!)
The Village is absolutely delightful. 30 minutes drive from the coast and 60 minutes from Malaga airport. Quiet, off the beaten track and a wonderful location for hiking. Its a little white village within the mountain ranges of Andalucia – within the area of Axarquia, Malaga.
On this day…

Just added a bit more information
I have added a few more photos of the village
Congrats on moving to the birthplace of Flamenco! A highly recommended book is “Duende: A Journey Into the Heart of Flamenco” by Jason Webster. Sounds so familiar.
Thanks for the book recommendation but I´ve lived in Andalucia before and have heard the tales straight from the horses mouth as it were
Plus, rather shamefully, I´m not a fan of flamenco. Although I did enjoy a live performance once… but my reasons were not at all related to the art but rather the man
